Resistance is not a sign that coaching is wrong for you. It's often the clearest sign that it's exactly right.
The inner critic — the voice that says not yet, not now, maybe later, this probably isn't for me — has one job: to keep you safe by keeping you the same. It has been very good at that job for a long time. And it knows that what you're considering threatens everything it has built.
That voice will sound reasonable. It will cite your schedule, your budget, your uncertainty about whether you're 'ready.' It will find a hundred practical reasons to wait. What it will not tell you is that it's afraid — afraid of what changes when you start to hear yourself clearly, trust yourself more fully, and stop living according to rules you never consciously agreed to.
Recognizing that voice is not the same as silencing it. But it is the beginning of not letting it decide for you.
Readiness doesn't feel like certainty. It feels like:
● A quiet knowing that something needs to change, even if you can't fully name it yet
● A sense that you've been carrying something alone for too long
● A feeling that the life you've built, however successful it looks, no longer fully reflects who you're becoming
● A longing for something more — a dream, a direction, a version of yourself — that doesn't yet have language
● A moment where you thought: this cannot be the rest of my life
If any of that is true, you are ready. Not because everything is clear — but because something in you has decided it's time to stop waiting for clarity before beginning.
Coaching is not therapy. It doesn't go back to heal the past — it works with what's present and where you're going. If what you need is clinical support, I'll say so honestly.
Coaching is not advice. I won't tell you what to do. I'll ask the questions that help you hear what you already know but haven't been able to say out loud yet.
Coaching is not a program. There's no curriculum, no fixed path, no right answer waiting at the end. There's just you — and the work of listening more honestly to yourself than you've been able to do alone.
What coaching is: a skilled, attuned partnership with someone who can hold up a mirror, sit with you in the uncomfortable, and help you move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and ease.
● You are functioning — even thriving on the outside — but something inside feels quietly off
● You are ready to do honest inner work, even when it's uncomfortable
● You have at least one area of your life that feels stuck, misaligned, or ready for attention
● You are willing to slow down, look inward, and engage with what's actually true — not just what sounds good
You don't need to have it figured out before you start. You just need to be willing to begin.
Coaching may not be the right fit if you are in acute crisis, actively dealing with trauma, or experiencing symptoms that need clinical or therapeutic support. In those cases, I'll always be honest with you — and if appropriate, I'll help you find the right resource.
Coaching also isn't the right fit if you're looking for someone to tell you what to do, hand you a plan, or make the discomfort go away quickly. This work asks something of you. The clients who go deepest are the ones willing to show up honestly, even when a session doesn't feel conclusive, even when the answer isn't yet clear.
You didn't find this page by accident. The part of you that wants something different — that knows something needs to change — brought you here.

You don't have to have it figured out to start.
